Minuet
The Minuet was developed in 1996 by founder Joe Smith. The Minuet is a cross between a Munchkin and a Persian. It was originally known as the Napoleon but the name later changed to the Minuet. It is a small breed typically weighing about 6 lbs. They are a playful breed who also enjoys long naps on your lap. They fit into apartments and homes well due to their size. IN one litter they can come in both standard short legs ( the atypical legs people think of when they think Munchkin.) and nonstandard longer legs. The Nonstandard kittens are a perfect addition to families with small children and are a nice way for families to have a small kitty without any worries about back injuries like they might have with a standard. I typically do not recommend the standard short leg kittens to homes with children under 7 years old.

Exotic Short Hair
The Exotic Short Hair cat was developed in the 1950's. They are a cross between a Persian and an American Short Hair Cat. ( During the early development of the breed it was also crossed with the Berman and Russian Blue). Originally known as the Silver, The Exotic was later named the Exotic Short Hair.
The Exotic Short Hair is also called the lazy mans Persian. They are a great alternative for people who want a cat in the Persian breed group but do not want to take care of the heavy coat of a Persian. The Exotic has a short plushy coat but they still have the flat face and big eyes of the Persian.
The Exotic is a little more lively than the Persian Cat. A Persian cat is a lazy lap buddy. In Contrast to the Persian, the Exotic Short Hair cat is playful and curious. They love to follow their person around, however they are still happy to lap surf and cuddle. An Exotic is always happiest when they can see and be with their person.
